Croome's Fairytale Christmas runs 28 November to 3 January, 9am to 4pm, no booking. Entry is normal admission, £18 adult. Closed 24 and 25 December.

Storybook scenes fill the house and the Temple Greenhouse. You do not book: it is included in normal admission, which is £18 for an adult without Gift Aid and free for National Trust members.

What is on show
The National Trust says the house will be dressed as scenes from well-known fairy tales: Sleeping Beauty in the Temple Greenhouse, The Little Mermaid’s underwater world in the basement, and Hansel and Gretel’s gingerbread cottage in the Tapestry Room, “amongst many other festive displays throughout Croome”. Its Croome page also names Snow White, Cinderella and The Snow Queen (National Trust, Croome’s Fairytale Christmas).
The displays are on the ground floor and in the basement of the Court. The ground floor is reached by a stone staircase with a stair climber for wheelchair users; the basement rooms are not wheelchair accessible. Trampers and mobility scooters can be pre-booked for the parkland routes.
There is also a quiet hour in the house from 10am to 11am over the Christmas period, for anyone who would find the house easier when it is less busy. The Trust has not said which days it runs, so call 01905 371006 before you plan around it.

One mismatch to know about. The event’s own booking calendar lists 24 and 25 December as available, 9am to 4pm. The property calendar marks both days “Closed” for every part of Croome, park included. Trust the property calendar, which is the one that governs the gates, and ring ahead if you are planning Christmas Eve.
The calendar for 1 to 3 January was not yet filled in on 4 October; the event page lists those days at 9am to 4pm.
Before 28 November, note that the house is closed from Monday 16 to Friday 27 November while the displays go in. The park, restaurant, shop and RAF museum stay open.

Getting there and parking
Croome is signed with brown signs off the A38 from Worcester and Upton, and off the B4084 from Pershore; from the M5 use junction 7. Parking is on hard standing with a grass overflow, and there are designated mobility spaces in the main car park. The Trust is partway through a project to rework the arrival area and car park, so the layout may differ from your last visit.
There is no direct scheduled bus. Worcestershire on Demand buses can be booked to Croome, and the Worcester to Pershore buses stop at the Ladywood Road and Rebecca Road crossroads, about two miles away. The nearest stations are Worcestershire Parkway, Pershore and the two Worcester stations, then a taxi.
Coming from the city, check our roadworks and travel page first. If you are heading into Worcester on the same day, our parking in Worcester page has every council car park and tariff.
